Bobby Frith - Picasso in New York

Not many people could say they have have seen a real live Picasso artwork in there life. Last month when i was in New York the Metropolitan Museum Of Art had a special exhibition of Picasso's most famous pieces it was crazy some of the art works were worth billions!!!!! 

After we finished marvelling over picasso at the metro we heading over to the upper east side to check out the Guggenhiem museum one of New Yorks star attractions! The Guggenhiem building is one unique peace of work, i was pumped as they had an exhibition of modern art featuring 2 of my favourite artists Andy Warhole and Roy Lichtenstein both artist past away in the early 90s but there work is considered "modern art".. Strange! I had to gather myself and try and get it together that i'd just seen 3 of my favourite artists works in one day!! Only in NY is that possible.. 

After getting all inspired we decided to go get lunch in central park. Sitting down for lunch (hot dogs what else its New York) i noticed how peaceful it was in the park even though we were in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world! In summer all the new yorkers head to central park to get some sun, its weird there is no beach close by so they just role out a towel on the grass and soak up the rays!! That night we ended up getting invited to this rooftop party for some business company, it was insane i was sitting there loosing it at how crazy the view was, i kept thinking this is once in a lifetime shit goin down right here!! 

We spent a week rockin around NY and i have to say its stupid ho fun the place is, never a dull moment!!

Bobby Frith - The Desert circus

 
 
Well after spending 10 days in an RV travelling down the west coast of california surfing and dodging gansta's i thought that life couldn't get any better but i knew the time had finally come for what we had all been waiting for! Even though all of us had a hell time in california there was always in the back of our minds the fact that just around the corner VEGAS was coming!!!

The morning of i flight was filled with excitment, antiserpation and nerves not the sort of nerves you get before a big exam or test but more like what you feel when your unshore wether you will survive the next few days! The flight took forever with a stop over in salt lake city Utah, when we finally got close we could see the all mighty strip in all its glory sitting there in the middle of the desert the sun was out with not a cloud in the sky. We all stacked on top of each other to try and get the best view, we staired out the window looking down at the strip, eyes filled with dollar signs!!

After checking into our room at the palms resort we decided to not wast any time getting right into the swing of things! 30 minutes later and 2 bottles of rum things we getting out of control, pete came into the room howling like a dog at sunset he had just lost $300 on black jack but seemed so happy about it, we all joined in with the howling our room sounded like desert cave filled with coyote's!! Damn vegas is already taking its toll..

We all bounce down stairs and get a limo to the main part of the las vegas strip! As soon as we step out of the limo it feels like another universe the lights are bright and the money and wealth of this place is shining in all its glory!! This place is a circus, We hit club after club and casino after casino with plenty of jack and coke, vodka lime soda, gin and tonic wooohooo this place is like disney land on steroids, we walk out of a club to realise the sun is up all the way up its no longer thursday night but friday lunchtime!! Im loosing my shit, Dousy is out of control he starts to freak us out his like a spider monkey on red bull! We all hit a wall my belly growls at me like a fully grown grizzly bear it needs food we decided to bar the food for a vodka red bull good move we all agree, straght to the pool party at the palms!! This continued for 3 days! On the last night i looked into my vegas account and realised i only had $90 left, this was not enough for the last night it needed to be doubled so there was only one thing to do, straight to the roulette table, after getting 9 $10 dollar chips and putting it all on black my night was in the hands of the man up stairs!! The ball was spun i closed my eyes this could be a bad idea.

Next thing i hear Pete yelling and screaming "its black" i pause wondering if this is real or is me head through lack of sleep playing tricks on me! i soon realise that this was for real my pile of chips in front of me doubles in size, i scream and jump around like a Justin Bieber groopie the night has begun!

The next day we fly back to san diego our bodies are done i feel like someone is re-shaping my head with a jackhammer we all look at each other none of us remember a thing this must mean we had done vegas right!!!!

hey everyone, 

well rite now i'm sitting on top of an rv looking out over the surf at Malibu watching the california sunset, pretty relaxed its a little cold but the view is unbeatable. 

I've been in cali for 5 days now and its already been very eventful, we flew into L.A on the 31st of may stayed in some knarly little getto called Ingelwood, we dodged gangsta's all night till the morning when we flew up to San Fransisco. 

It was freezing in San Fran in and out of the water, sea temp was about 8 degrees and air temp was about 10-14 degrees this made for some cold nights in the RV, our RV is massive way bigger then we thought it was going to be! Its not easy to drive around the city and on the wrong side of the road! We decided that san Fran was too cold and that after we had checked out the city we would bounce down the coast for some warmer weather!!! Just before we left we went to check a local museum, on the way we walked through a park where to guys were having a go at one another, things got heavy quick when one guy pulled a massive knife and went for a STAB pritty much straight in front of us!!! We got out of there asap. Apart from that San Fran was unreal! We have covered alot of the cali coast, San Fransisco, Half moon bay, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and a little spot called carmel beach which was a hell little town outside of Santa Cruz! good waves!! 

Now i'm just kickin back drinking some Budweiser

Hola Como estas,

Yes I'm scratching up on some Spanish everyone for my trip to the states at the end of the month, its the second language over in America land!!
I've got the greeting down but that about does it!!
Yeah the trip is gonna be all time 3 weeks, 3 of my best mates, an RV, a city in the desert and a statue of liberty, that's all i say for now
keep checking the blog through June to see what goes down!!

But at home the last few weeks have been busy, Ive been working a heap saving my pennies, surfing every morning and hittin partys on the weekend.
1st of all the waves have been pumping barrels barrels and barrels last week i did 2 turns all week, luke reading is a camera hog his been getting some
hell photos, with him and oscar "the prodigy" scanes in the water its hard to get some keepers they have been ripping!!
Had some good nights out, had a friends 21st in newy was a big night for a few the speaches were different pretty sure i seen Kevin Rudd and Micheal Jackson make an appearance!
Last weekend was the Groovin the moo music festival in lovely maitland, Miami Horror, Empire Of The Sun and the Yacht Club Djs were stand outs for me!!
I was amped the morning of groovin, hell keen for some good tunes and good times, unfortunalty the day hit a downer when a securaty guard found my bottle of vodka
which i had hiddin in my pants, it got taken on entry which lead me to pay $10 for each mid strenght tinnie all day yuuuummmm!!!

Hey everyone,

Hope you all are enjoying this amazing warm weather its epic, the water is like Bali right now you know that perfect temp where its not to hot and not to cold.. Although the amount of sea lice is gnarly, oh the buggers are hungry too! i look like i have chicken pocks..

Speaking of this warm weather the ultraviolet rays are still super strong so make shore you have a good pare of shades, i don't want any of you guys damaging your eyes and not been able to read my page hahah but seriously, I've been running the OAKLEY DISPATCH there the shit people, the lenses are made from Plutonite which is a material exclusive to OAKLEY its the most durable lens material on the market it also blocks 100% of all harmful UVA, UVB, UVC rays and white light that's the heavy invisible one that can make you go blind!! Ripping OAKLEY who would buy anything else.... How much do you treasure you eyes?

Ive been walking on clouds lately too.............. but seriously before you think Ive lost my marbles get into saltwater wine and try some SANUK's on, they get more comfy as you walk!!
They kinda look like shoes BUT THERE NOT, there sandals people, and Ive got some serious froth goin on for these guy's!! They will change the way you walk!!
