After a terrible week of waves, all the boys got fired up for the first round of Saltwater Boardriders, held at Saltwater Back Beach, which was offering fun 1-2 foot peaks.

The first contest saw surfers such as Paul Worboys and Darren Dark come out of retirement looking for some early points in the championship series.

Both surfers looked among the favourites for the win in the early rounds although they suprisingly were beaten in the semi finals and eliminated from competition.

The final consisted of Billy Harrison, Tyler Burns, Emily Clapoudis and myself.

Sitting on a different peak from the other surfers i managed to get some good early waves and ended up taking the title.

This week i am hoping to get some waves at a few secret spots around home and it's looking good with a nice swell on its way so keep updated for some photos and stories of the trip....

Hey everyone,

After a disappointing start to the Australian junior series with only one good result in the first four contests i returned home sitting in 30th position on the ratings. Some fun waves at my local breaks, Old Bar and 2nd Corner made me feel alot better to be home and away from the shennanigans and crowds of the Gold Coast. Im enjoying the next couple of weeks at home as much as possible before i head of to Newcastle for the next contest.

My chilli surfboards are feeling great and im confident i can get a good result at newcastle, as i am well overdue for one. The last couple of days i have been surfing Saltwater Point but it has been hard to get waves when people like Luke Reading and Bobby Frith have been dominating the line up.
